1. Scope
These terms govern the use of the website at chinauscargo.com. They do not govern a shipment. Each shipment is handled under a separate quotation and the carrier's or forwarder's applicable trading conditions, issued in writing for that shipment.
2. Information published on this site
Freight rates, transit times, capacity figures and tariff information published here are indicative and for planning purposes. They are not offers, not quotations, and not binding. Specifically:
- Every figure carries a date or an effective date. A figure without its date is not usable and should not be relied on.
- Third-party figures are attributed to their publisher and reproduced as published. We do not blend them or present them as our own.
- Freight rates are subject to change without notice, including by carrier surcharges announced after publication.
- Transit times are ranges, not commitments, and are affected by matters outside our control.
3. Not customs, legal or tax advice
Content about tariffs, duty, classification, entry procedures and compliance is provided for general information. It is not legal advice, not a customs classification ruling, and not a substitute for an entry prepared by a licensed customs broker. Tariff measures change frequently. Before relying on any figure for a shipment, confirm the current position against CBP CSMS, the HTSUS and the Federal Register, or ask us to confirm it in writing for your specific goods.
Where public accounts of a measure conflict, we say so and give the range rather than selecting one figure. That is deliberate and should not be read as an opinion on which account is correct.
4. Quotations
Any quotation we issue states its date, its caliber (port-to-port or door-to-door), the surcharges included, and whether duty is included. It is valid for the period stated in it and for the named sailing or flight. Quotations are subject to:
- space and equipment availability at the time of booking;
- the accuracy of the information you provide, including weights, dimensions, values and the nature of the goods;
- carrier surcharges and rate changes announced after the quotation date;
- the exclusions stated in the quotation, which normally include demurrage, detention, examinations, storage and accessorials.
5. Classification and duty responsibility
Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, the importer of record is responsible for the accuracy of the customs value, the classification of the goods and any licences or permits required. We will assist with classification where asked, but assistance is not a ruling and does not transfer that responsibility.
Antidumping and countervailing duties are assessed at case rates published per order and are not knowable at quotation stage. They are excluded from our quotations unless the quotation says otherwise in writing.
6. Goods we will not handle
We do not arrange the movement of goods that are unlawful to export from China or to import into the United States, goods subject to sanctions, undeclared dangerous goods, or counterfeit goods. Cargo found to be misdescribed may be held, and the responsible party bears the resulting costs.
7. Liability
We arrange carriage as a forwarder; we are not the carrier. Liability for loss or damage in transit is governed by the applicable carrier terms and international conventions, and the limits are typically far below the commercial value of the cargo. Cargo insurance is available and is quoted separately — we recommend it on any shipment where the value exceeds the carrier's limit.

The text, structure and original data presentation on this site belong to us. Third-party data remains the property of its publisher and is attributed. You may quote short extracts with a link back to the page and its stated verification date; wholesale reproduction is not permitted.
